Facilities and local interest
Four distinctive categories of rooms each with direct access to a comfortable living room, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. Equipped with king, queen or twin beds, private baths, cable TV, and voice-message/data port telephones.
Guests have access to a 3 storey oceanfront beach club house on nearby Pawleys Island with private parking and direct beach access. Ground floor dressing areas have showers, and the second floor breezeway is a cool spot for bring-your-own lunches. The third floor has even finer furnishings for special occasions on a reservation only basis.

The private marina, a protected fresh-water harbor, on the Plantation grounds, is available for short-term dockage of guests' boats, space permitting and is convenient to the Intracoastal Waterway.

The large free-form design of the heated pool, with a view overlooking the adjacent tidal marshes, will give you the feeling of open spaces and natural beauty. You may also enjoy our club house cabana with kitchen facilities.

The on site Carriage House Club restaurant provides a unique ambiance that complements superb cuisine serving regional favorites.

Locally there is every type of restaurant from "fine dining" as the Americans say, Low Country fare to cafés serving snacks and pastries. 10 minutes north is Murrells Inlet the "seafood capital" of South Carolina.

The grille at Caledonia and True Blue golf courses are great places for lunch. Both have terraces overlooking the course.

Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington State Park, Hobcaw Barony, Kaminski House Museum and many other museums at historic Georgetown 15 minutes drive and Charleston 1.5 hours.

Nearby Pawleys Island was the first seaside resort in America and houses in the Historic District date from the glory days of rice production. Save your pennies as a small plot will cost you $2 million and another $5 million + to build the house!

Very many local shops in the area particularly the Hammock Shops at nearby Pawleys Island.
Two tennis courts are adjacent to the Carriage House Club and The Plantation House and nearby are several Har-Tru courts which can be reserved. Locally are some of the finest golf courses in the whole Myrtle Beach area. Always in wonderful condition with superb facilities.
Standing since 1750, the only rice plantation house left on the Waccamaw River and now a unique country inn.
