Dining out in Myrtle Beach
From fine dining to poolside snacks, portions are ample, some say large, and service is generally excellent.
Myrtle Beach
From Desperados steakhouse on 501 to Flamingo Bar and Grill at the north end of 17 business there are just too many restaurants to mention. Choose from national and regional chains such as Bone Fish Grill, Chilli's, Outback Steakhouse, TGI Friday and Ruby Tuesday or local favourites such as Carolina Roadhouse, Thoroughbreds and Sea Captains House.
With around 1800 restaurants in the area there is a fantastic variety and choice with seafood restaurants, Italian, Mexican, fine dining restaurants and of course the many American style steakhouses and chains like Outback, TGI Fridays, Applebees, Ruby Tuesday which offer fantastic variety, reliable quality and excellent service.

Here is an idea of what you can find in the different areas...

In the area around Broadway At The Beach you will find NASCAR Café, Philips Seafood, TBonz, Burro Loco and Planet Hollywood.

In the Broadway complex itself there are many bars and restaurants as well as nightclubs, Landrys, Crab House, Tony Romas, Liberty Steakhouse, Johnny Rockets, Margaritaville,
Uno Chicago Grill, Yamatos Japanese Steakhouse, Tripps, Benito’s and Key West Grill.

One or two gems along Ocean Boulevard include Damon's ocean front and the ‘Sea Captains’ which has an excellent reputation for seafood.

Cagneys marks the beginning of the area known as Restaurant Row, North Myrtle Beach. Many ‘Calabash style’ seafood restaurants plus some old favourites such as Thoroughbreds.

Plenty of variety at Barefoot Landing including Damon's, House of Blues, Greg Normans Australian Grille, TBonz, Umberto’s, The Crab House, Johnny Rockets, Yokoso Japanese Restaurant and Ultimate California Pizza.

Close to Barefoot Landing is our favourite Italian restaurant The Olive Garden.

Little River and Calabash waterfronts are a seafood lovers paradise and look for Cafe Latte in the centre of Calabash.

What you won't find!
Strangely to us Europeans there are no Indian Restaurants and the few Chinese ones are buffet style.
Buffets are not renowned for attractive surroundings and are basically all you can eat for between $5 and $15 per head, great if you are hungry and want instant food!
Watch out for signs outside restaurants advertising all you can eat nights, lobster, ribs, steaks, pizza etc for really great value.
