Aside from golf there is plenty to do on the island. The beaches are spectacular and the Island is criss-crossed with miles of safe bike paths. Bikes can be hired cheaply on a daily or longer basis. Over 250 restaurants from five-star formal dining to fast food and everything in between, catering for every price range and taste.
As you might expect from a coastal island ther are plenty of activities on the water while there is a closeness with nature with many trails, walks and tours where you can encounter the islands wildlife.
Each April, the week after the US Masters, Hilton Head is the centre of attention in the golf world as it hosts the Heritage Classic at the spectacular Pete Dye designed Harbour Town Links.
