Magnolia Plantation and gardens
Situated on the Ashley River it was founded in 1676 by the Drayton family.

Magnolia Plantation has survived the centuries and witnessed the history of the nation unfold before it from the American Revolution through the Civil War and beyond.

It is the oldest tourist site in the Low Country and the oldest public gardens in America.

The gardens at Magnolia Plantation are beautiful and make sure you leave enough time in your visit to walk the boardwalk through the Audubon Swamp Gardens
