As you would expect from a city of such stature there is a cosmopolitan collection of fine restaurants, bars and cafés while the shopping is fantastic.

Although not known for its golf in the same way as Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head there are nevertheless many fine courses in the Charleston area including the wolrd reknowned Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, home of the 1991 Ryder Cup.
